U.S. Conference
For both U.S. and non-U.S. students, tuition for the 12-day Global Young Leaders Conference (GYLC) is $2,995. Tuition includes all housing, program materials, breakfasts, dinners and private motor coach transportation within and between Washington D.C. and New York City. Students will be responsible for transportation to and from the arrival and departure cities. Participants will need money only for incidentals (phone calls, snacks, etc.).
China Conference
For U.S. students, tuition for the 10-day conference in China is $5,390 and includes airfare to China from the designated gateway cities, housing, program materials, breakfasts, dinners and private motor coach transportation within and between Beijing, Hangzhou and Shanghai.
For non-U.S. students, tuition for the 10-day conference in China is $4,390 and includes housing, program materials, breakfasts, dinners and private motor coach transportation within and between Beijing, Hangzhou and Shanghai. NOTE: You may have received materials that incorrectly listed the conference tuition. The tuition amount shown here of $4,390 is the correct conference tuition to attend GYLC. Non-U.S. students will be responsible for transportation to and from the arrival and departure cities.
Fundraising
The Congressional Youth Leadership Council (CYLC) makes every effort to assist students with gathering funds for part or all of their tuition through fundraising and scholarships.

Don't forget to contact the Office of Admissions if you decide to fundraise all or part of your tuition to keep us updated on your progress or if you have any questions.
If you or one of your sponsors have fundraising checks to send in, please use this form to submit them. Including this form with the checks will help us to allocate the funds quickly and accurately.
Scholarship Application
If you have received a formal invitation for 2010 sessions of GYLC: your scholarship application deadline is Thursday, December 3, 2009. Click here to access the scholarship application. You will need your Student ID (located on your Enrollment Application and in your Acceptance Materials) and a valid e-mail address to log in and complete the scholarship application. Using your Student ID to log in allows you to save your progress, so you do not need to complete the entire application in one sitting. After you submit your completed application, you may also log in and update or correct anything on your application up until the deadline. If you do not know your Student ID, please contact the Office of Admissions. If you do not have an e-mail address, you may register for a free e-mail account at various sites on the web, such as Yahoo!, Hotmail, and Google.
If you have not yet received a formal invitation for 2010 sessions of GYLC: please check this page for updated information once you receive an invitation and enrollment application in the mail. Only nominees who have been formally invited to GYLC will be able to access the scholarship application.
In the event that you are preliminarily granted an award, your notification letter will ask you to finalize the award through submitting a copy of the 2008 1040 Federal Income Tax Form from the individual who claimed you as a dependent. The Federal Income Tax form serves as proof of financial need as indicated upon the applicant’s Scholarship Application. The Congressional Youth Leadership Council cannot grant any scholarship money without receiving sufficient proof of income.
