The National Young Leaders Program (NYLP) identifies and recognizes elementary school students who demonstrate leadership potential even at their young age. Through the personal nominations of educators, NYLP attracts the most mature and independent individuals possible within this age group.

Nominations are extended to students who have demonstrated these abilities and who are in the 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd, or 4^th grades.
