| The safety and well-being of the young leaders who take part in the National Young Leaders Program (NYLP) is our highest priority.
Throughout the 25 years that CYLC has mentored high-achievers from every state in the nation, we have designed and perfected a safe, comfortable and secure experience.
NYLP is directed by a full-time staff of professional educators, and students are supervised and accounted for at all times. Students are required to participate in all program activities and must be signed-in and checked-out by a parent or guardian each morning and evening.
To ensure the safe and secure arrival of all students, easily identifiable NYLP staff members personally greet parents and young leaders each morning, and young leaders are under full and constant supervision each day. All activities are organized under the supervision of exceptionally qualified and highly educated faculty advisors and program staff, each of who have undergone extensive training in the program's curriculum as well as comprehensive background and security checks.
Students are never permitted to leave the program location on their own at any time throughout the Program. In order to maintain the strict supervision standards we set for our programs, student-to-staff ratios are maintained at no more than 9-to-1.
