Tuition for the five-day National Young Leaders Program (NYLP) includes all program staff, materials, including journals, lunch and snacks. Transportation to and from the program location is not included.

Fundraising
The Congressional Youth Leadership Council (CYLC) makes every effort to assist students with gathering funds for part or all of their tuition through fundraising and scholarships.

To check out our easy-to-use online Student Fundraising Guide, click here. You will find helpful step-by-step instructions, customizable letters, fundraising ideas and success stories from past CYLC scholars.

Don't forget to contact the Office of Admissions if you decide to fundraise all or part of your tuition to keep us updated on your progress or if you have any questions.

Scholarship Application
To offset the cost of tuition, the Congressional Youth Leadership Council has established a scholarship fund to provide financial assistance to qualified nominees. CYLC awards a limited number of partial and full scholarships based on financial need, scholastic merit, leadership achievements and other factors.

The scholarship application deadline for NYLP has passed. It is too late to apply for a scholarship.

In the event that you are preliminarily granted an award, your notification letter will ask you to finalize the award through submitting a copy of your 1040 Federal Income Tax Form (from the individual who claimed the scholar as a dependent). The Federal Income Tax form serves as proof of financial need as indicated upon the applicant's Scholarship Application. The Congressional Youth Leadership Council cannot grant any scholarship money without receiving sufficient proof of income. If you have questions, please contact the Office of Admissions.

Scholarship applicants should expect e-mail notification of the review results within two weeks of the scholarship deadline.
