The safety and well-being of the students who take part in the National Young Leaders State Conference (NYLSC) is our number one priority.  Our programs are highly structured and thoroughly evaluated for quality and safety. We will not take our students into areas where we think safety may be in question.  If conditions exist which make it impossible for us to provide a safe program, we will alter the itinerary and route the program to safer areas.

NYLSC is directed by a full-time staff of professional educators, all of whom have previously led Congressional Youth Leadership Council (CYLC) programs. Students are supervised 24 hours a day from the moment they arrive, by professional faculty advisors and staff, at a ratio of 12-to-1.  Students are accounted for at all times, required to attend all activities and must stay with the conference at all times unless written permission is given by a student’s parents.
