The National Young Leaders State Conference (NYLSC) challenges each scholar to step forward with conviction and confidence, to grasp the concepts of leadership and to act upon their dreams of making a difference in their communities. With the insight and guidance of highly trained facilitators and the assistance of their peers, scholars work within each activity to hone their plan of personal leadership.
The eight core leadership power tools are communication, conflict resolution, decision making, goal setting, group dynamics, leadership techniques, project management and self awareness.
NYLSC scholars strengthen the skills they need to succeed in school and gain new perspective on how they view their role as leaders in their communities, leaving the conference well-equipped to begin their journey.
