about the CYLC youth leadership programs

The Congressional Youth Leadership Council (CYLC) program scholars represent the upper echelon of today's youth in both academic performance and community leadership. Each student is selected by distinguished educators and mentors based upon academic achievement and leadership potential, through CYLC program alumni and recognized classroom surveys. Through the experiences of our programs and the fellowship and interaction with the nation’s highest achieving students, young men and women return from our programs with the drive and determination to emerge as future and world leader.

Our mission is to develop, foster and inspire young people to achieve their full leadership potential. In support of this mission, members of the U.S. Congress and over 50 embassies representing countries around the world serve on CYLC's Honorary Board of Advisors.

All of the CYLC conferences described on this web site are offered as part of the Envision EMI family of programs.
